Dr. Criollo
Dr. German Criollo was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where his passion for biological sciences began during his high school years. After graduating, he pursued further education in Veracruz, Mexico, earning his medical degree from the University of Veracruz.
During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Criollo visited Chicago, Illinois, volunteering as a Spanish interpreter at Cook County Hospital and Norwegian American Hospital. This meaningful experience eventually led to medical rotations at these institutions, enhancing his clinical exposure and skills.
Following the completion of his dissertation in Veracruz, Dr. Criollo was invited to teach medical terminology at his alma mater, marking a pivotal moment in his career as he discovered his profound passion for teaching.
Years later, he relocated to Chicago to further his academic journey, earning a master’s degree in Exercise Science and Cardiac Rehabilitation from Northeastern Illinois University. Concurrently, he joined St. Augustine College as a resident faculty member, specializing in teaching Anatomy and Physiology for the respiratory therapy program.
