Ziggy

Zbigniew ‘Ziggy” Swiatkowski is the Program Director for the Respiratory Therapy
Program in St. Augustine College at Lewis University, he has been both teaching and
working in the field for over 14 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Respiratory Therapy from Siena Heights University and an associate in applied science
degree in Respiratory Therapy from St. Augustine College. Currently, he is pursuing a
master’s in business administration (MBA) at Lewis University to enhance his
organizational and leadership skills.
Ziggy has a strong passion for critical care, with a particular focus on providing
students with the hands-on skills they need to excel in this high-demand field.
Ziggy is committed to practical learning and simulation-based education, creating an
immersive environment that allows students to experience real-clinical scenarios and
gain valuable experience. He believes these learning strategies are essential for
preparing students for the complexities of modern healthcare.
Outside of his professional work, Ziggy enjoys traveling and baking. These hobbies give
him a creative outlet and help him stay refreshed and inspired. He is dedicated to the
success of his students and to continually advancing his own expertise in respiratory
therapy.
