Our Languages, Literature and Humanities Department offers a unique AA degree curriculum* with a Spanish concentration. If you are looking to acquire the Spanish proficiency necessary for a career that emphasizes the value of diverse cultures and recognizes the importance of communication, this program is ideal for you.
As Spanish is widely spoken in the U.S. and other countries, Spanish speakers are necessary and valued in a variety of areas—from customer service and hospitality roles to health care and education. This major could also prepare you for transferring to a Bachelor’s Degree program and completing a Spanish major, which could eventually lead to work as a translator, working in a Spanish speaking business, or a marketing career.
